During the international match day, Algeria will play three friendly matches. Algeria qualified for next year's World Cup last month. According to the "Daily Mail" report, Mahrez has been with his wife Ward after she gave birth to their son, and therefore missed the first training of the national team training this month.
The Daily Mail introduced Mahrez’s wife and her experience with Mahrez’s move from Manchester City to the Saudi League. The Post wrote that Ward said she felt “overwhelmed” when Mahrez told her they would be leaving Manchester and moving to Jeddah at short notice. Previously, Ward had expressed concern that he would be "left alone at home." Mahrez told her: "It's part of the game, isn't it?"
Ward recalled that she and Mahrez were on holiday at the time, and Mahrez received the offer before flying back to Manchester City to say goodbye to his teammates - and everything moved very quickly. The deal came so suddenly that Mahrez barely had time to digest it or even say goodbye to his teammates at the Etihad Stadium.
Mahrez's wife Ward talked about life in Saudi Arabia. Ward said that life in the Middle East "surprised" her because she found some comfort in life there, including discovering an unlikely Nando's chain store, which made her feel a little closer to home.
"It's been a great experience so far," she added in the same interview. "There's obviously no wine here, so I'm not going to drink wine! It's honestly better than I originally thought. The first time I went there, I saw a Nando's restaurant. I thought 'Great, they have Nando's there!'"
"The people here They are all so friendly - it really surprises me how nice everyone is. It's completely different to the UK - it's so different so far, I feel like I'm on holiday and I don't feel like I've actually moved here yet."
