New Postal Chairman Yishengmeng retires and is replaced by Zhang Ruilian

SingPost appointed Zhang Ruilian, chairman of CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust management company, as chairman of the new group, replacing Simon Israel, which is about to retire and serves for nine years.

Yesongmeng said: "The appointment of Zhang Ruilian marks the completion of the renewal of the board of directors. She will lead the board to advance the ongoing strategic reset of the group. Singapore Post is undergoing a major transformation to adapt to the ever-changing postal, e-commerce and logistics environment. Her experience will help the board monitor and guide the new strategy."

New Post announced before the market opening on Wednesday (May 21) that Zhang Ruilian will serve as the group's chairman-elect and non-independent non-executive director from now on. She will officially serve as chairman at the next shareholders' meeting.

New Post has appointed several new directors and senior executives in the past few months, including New Telecommunications Corporate Deputy Director Yan Shufen, and Liang Shuyun, who served as CEO of New Post's Singapore business, serves as the group's chief operating officer.

Ishen League, which serves as the new postal chairman since 2016, will retire.

She is currently the chairman of CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust Management and is also a director of HSBC Holdings and Clifford Capital Holdings. She has served as a director of Singapore Telecom and AIA.

She also served in the Monetary Authority of Singapore for about 27 years.
