"Echo" scored Liverpool players at the end of the season. For Chiesa, Echo gave a 4-point season rating and said that Chiesa has difficulty getting a chance to play and may be about to leave the team.

Before the summer window of last year, Chiesa became Liverpool's only new face since Slot took office, with a transfer fee of 12 million euros.

The Echo said that Liverpool's past Italian players had no success. Players from Aquilani to Paletta have failed to leave a lasting impact for various reasons. They were unable to stay in the first team of the Red Army for 18 months.

However, there was some low-key optimism about Chiesa breaking this trend, especially because of his relatively low transfer fees, which meant that people did not expect too high from him.

However, after being excluded from the first team by Juventus, Chiesa missed the pre-season preparation phase.

And Liverpool's unexpectedly strong performance at the start of the season and obviously, the never-weary Salah is a substitute, which makes Chiesa in a difficult situation. He then only made a substitute twice, completed his first start and contributed an assist in the League Cup victory over West Ham United, and then was absent for two months due to injury. After his comeback in December, Chiesa remained healthy, but only received three starters and sporadic substitutes. In his 14 appearances, he played only 466 minutes in total, with only 104 of them in the Premier League.

Chiesa scored in the FA Cup against Akerrington and won a penalty for Liverpool away against Eindhoven in an insignificant match in the Champions League.

The Echo commented that, in addition to the above, in addition to his dynamic brief performance in the final reversal of Brentford, Chiesa's only thing worth mentioning is that the end of the League Cup final defeat to Newcastle brought a glimmer of hope to counterattack.

Chiesa's impact has been enough to confuse some fans, who believe Slot overlooked Chiesa and called for him to be given regular playing time, especially given that Jota and Nunes have failed to continue to deliver impressive performances.

However, Liverpool's final strong win of the Premier League title and Chiesa's obvious failure to keep up with the pace of the game in sporadic appearances all show that Slott's decision seems to be correct.

Although Chiesa is a popular member of the team and has a happy life at Liverpool, he recently admitted that he hopes to have a place in the national team's roster if Italy advances to the World Cup, so returning to Italy is attractive to him.

Serie A champion Naples is one of the clubs interested in Chiesa. Leaving Anfield may be the best choice for both the players and the club.
