According to Dutch media twenteinsite, Indonesian naturalized defender Hilgues will soon join Premier League club Crystal Palace.
Hilgus, 24, currently plays for Eredivisie Twente, and he has been naturalized to represent the Indonesian national team. Hilgues's agent has previously revealed that Spanish and Italian teams are interested in the players. However, Dutch media said that Hilgues is currently close to transfer and leaving Twente, but his next home may be Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
On Monday local time, a football account from the UK reported that Crystal Palace is in transfer negotiations with Twente for Indonesian defender Hilgus, and the negotiations have made progress. The club and the players also agreed on terms of the personal contract. Despite the interest of Spanish and Italian clubs in Hilgues, the transfer is expected to reach an agreement soon.
Then the Dutch football account WFCGRONINGEN, which has always been relatively reliable, also said: "Hilgus seems to be leaving Twente Club. At present, many foreign clubs are interested in him, and the Premier League Crystal Palace club is in the lead in the competition. Hilgus will take a good step." Twente responded that it is not clear that Crystal Palace's interest in Hilgus is currently unknown.
Hilgus and Twente's contract expires in June next year. His current value is 6.5 million euros. It is not yet certain how much the transfer fee Crystal Palace is willing to pay. However, Hilgues suddenly missed Twente's roster in the Eredivisie last Sunday, which is also seen as a signal that the player is about to leave the team.
