BBC: Morecum Football Club suspends all first-team activities due to unknown future

BBC reported that Morecum Football Club suspended all first-team activities due to unknown future.

Because the club failed to comply with the league regulations, Morecum was suspended from the National League until August 20. London-based sports investment firm Panjab Warriors has been in talks with club owner Jason Whitingham for more than a year, saying they are still "ready, willing and capable" to take over the club. However, the company confirmed that the acquisition has not been finalized and urged the current owner to complete the sale as soon as possible.

Panjab Warriors, minority shareholders, Shrimps Trust and local councillor Lizzy Collinch jointly issued a statement saying: "As necessary insurance expires due to unpaid, the first team has to stop all football activities. As the situation worsens, more first team players have left the club and more players are expected to leave the team this week."
