How to train dogs to urinate and defecate?
We have seen that until the puppies are weaned, they induce their bowel movements and clean them up. Now, this is about to change. From week 3, puppies will try to leave the delivery box for the first time. Generally speaking, at this time, the front of the delivery box has been removed, and the puppy is allowed to leave its sleeping area and move one or two meters outward.
First of all, you need to realize that you have no way to control your dog's urine and defecation. Puppies 3-4-week-old should urinate at least 12 times a day and defecate for five or six times. You can't control when the puppies urinate or defecate. They may show some symptoms when they need it. For example, they always rotate non-stop. Even so, you can't control the dog's urination and defecation time well.
In other words, no matter how serious you are, there will always be various unexpected events at the beginning. Fortunately, you can prepare in advance. For example, dogs are prone to defecation when they wake up or eat, so you should be fully alert at these times.
At the beginning, puppies may urinate and defecate around the nest. By nature, dogs are very clean little creatures, so puppies will also separate their sleeping areas, feeding areas and urination areas as far away as possible. You need to make sure you have the right things on hand that can be used when puppies are urinating and defecating, such as newspapers, water-absorbing pads or wood chips, which are much more selective, but be sure to make sure these things are free of dust.
Of course, puppies during this period do not always go to the place you prepared to urinate and defecate, so you must keep their sleeping areas completely clean. You can buy water-absorbent mats, so that you can keep the mats dry all the time. Putting a dozen newspapers between the mat and the floor can also suck away the dampness well. However, remember to change the newspaper in time. In the early stages of urination and defecation training, it may be changed two to three times a day.
Dogs like to urinate and defecate in natural environments, so if you can set the location where you train your puppy to urinate in the garden or outdoors, it will be more beneficial for you and your puppy. This training can be started when the puppies are 4 weeks old. 4-week-old puppies should also master the basic points of walking.
Urinal and defecation training
1. The first thing to do in the morning is to accompany the dog to urinate and defecate. After meals and every time he wakes up at bed, he must accompany the dog to urinate and defecate.
2. Go to the park or outdoor with it.
3. When you see a dog squatting, you must give a reward and say some praise, such as "really clean" and so on.
4. If the puppy urinates outside the set place, don't blame it. Just clean it up silently. Nothing needs to be said.
Similarly, you can't let the dog urinate accurately at the place you choose. Sometimes, the puppy will be pulled directly outside, so be sure to pay attention to its usual walking route from the sleeping area to the garden, and take the things you are ready to deal with it. The ideal route is of course directly from its nest to the garden.
